At the beginning of 2019, I started experimenting with blowing spheres and ‘bubbles’. There was no particular reason behind this, apart from improving my skill in blowing large bubbles. Furthermore, I was fascinated by adding tiny amounts of colour which contributes to the bubbles having a glazed, glossy quality, similar to the process of glazing used in painting. Throughout this experimentation, I became curious about spacial ideas and material language.
